About this product
The MOC3081 is a 6-pin DIP optocoupler that pairs a gallium arsenide infrared LED with a zero-voltage-crossing bilateral triac driver detector. It interfaces logic circuits with triacs controlling 115 V or 240 V AC loads, such as solenoid valves, heaters, lighting and AC motor starters.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of MOC3081 Zero-Crossing Triac Driver Optocoupler DIP-6 in Egypt?
MOC3081 Zero-Crossing Triac Driver Optocoupler DIP-6 currently costs between 15 and 17 EGP across 2 offers in Egypt.
Where can I buy MOC3081 Zero-Crossing Triac Driver Optocoupler DIP-6 in Egypt?
MOC3081 Zero-Crossing Triac Driver Optocoupler DIP-6 is available from Makers Electronics and Circuits Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.
What is the benefit of the zero-crossing feature?
The triac is switched on only when the AC voltage is close to zero. This reduces switching surges and electrical noise, which suits resistive loads such as heaters and lamps.
How is it wired with a triac?
The LED side (pins 1 and 2) is driven from a logic output through a current-limiting resistor. The output side (pins 4 and 6) drives the gate of an external triac that switches the AC load, with a gate resistor as shown in the datasheet.
