About this product
MOC3041 is a 6-pin DIP optocoupler with a zero-crossing TRIAC driver output, used to isolate a microcontroller from mains-powered TRIAC circuits. An LED on the input triggers a phototriac output rated 400 V and 1 A peak current. Zero-crossing switching turns the TRIAC on near the AC zero point, which reduces electrical noise.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of MOC3041 Zero-Cross TRIAC Driver Optocoupler, 6-Pin DIP in Egypt?
MOC3041 Zero-Cross TRIAC Driver Optocoupler, 6-Pin DIP currently costs 15 EGP in Egypt.
Where can I buy MOC3041 Zero-Cross TRIAC Driver Optocoupler, 6-Pin DIP in Egypt?
MOC3041 Zero-Cross TRIAC Driver Optocoupler, 6-Pin DIP is available from Makers Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.
How do I drive the input LED from a 5 V or 3.3 V microcontroller?
Use a series resistor calculated as R = (Vcc - 1.3 V) / I, where I is at least the 15 mA trigger current with margin. For example, about 220 ohm on a 5 V supply gives roughly 17 mA. Confirm the values in the datasheet.
Does the TRIAC side need extra components?
Usually yes. A gate resistor and a snubber network are commonly used on the TRIAC side, and their values depend on the load and the mains voltage. Follow the application circuit in the datasheet and never work on live mains without proper isolation.
