About this product

A 0.91 inch OLED display module with a 128 x 32 pixel resolution and a blue emission colour, driven by an SSD1306 controller. It connects over a two-wire I2C bus, so it needs only SDA and SCL from the microcontroller, and it is suited to showing sensor readings and status text in small projects.

How do I wire this OLED to an Arduino or ESP32?

Connect VCC to 3.3 V or 5 V, GND to GND, SDA to the SDA pin and SCL to the SCL pin. On an Arduino Uno the I2C pins are A4 (SDA) and A5 (SCL). On an ESP32 the default I2C pins are GPIO21 (SDA) and GPIO22 (SCL), though other pins can be assigned in code.

The display shows nothing. What should I check first?

Confirm the I2C address with an I2C scanner sketch. Most modules use 0x3C, but some use 0x3D, and the library must be initialised with the same address. Also check that SDA and SCL are not swapped and that the module is powered at 3.3 V or 5 V.
