Frequently asked questions
How do I enable the selected output?
Both enable inputs (G1 and G2) must be low. When both are low, the output selected by the address lines goes low while the others stay high.
Can I drive LEDs directly from the outputs?
The outputs are active low, so an LED wired from VCC through a series resistor to an output will light when that output is selected. Verify the current limit in the datasheet and always use a series resistor.
