About this product

The MG996 360-degree servo is a high-torque, metal-gear servo modified for continuous rotation, suited to robot wheels, RC cars, boats, drones and automation. All-metal gears offer more strength and longer life than plastic gears. It runs from 4.8 V to 7.2 V and uses a standard 3-pin PWM connector compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi and STM32.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of MG996 360-Degree Continuous Rotation Servo Motor (Metal Gear) in Egypt?

MG996 360-Degree Continuous Rotation Servo Motor (Metal Gear) currently costs 210 EGP in Egypt.

Where can I buy MG996 360-Degree Continuous Rotation Servo Motor (Metal Gear) in Egypt?

MG996 360-Degree Continuous Rotation Servo Motor (Metal Gear) is available from Most Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I control a 360-degree servo?

It is driven by a PWM signal, but unlike a standard servo the pulse width sets speed and direction instead of angle. A pulse near 1.5 ms usually stops the motor, and shorter or longer pulses turn it in opposite directions. Find the exact stop point of your unit by testing it.

Can I power it directly from an Arduino or Raspberry Pi board?

Avoid powering it from a board's logic pin for heavy use, since servos draw high current under load. Use a separate 4.8 to 7.2 V supply and connect its ground to the controller's ground. Raspberry Pi GPIO works at 3.3 V logic, so the servo needs its own external supply.
