About this product
The MCP4726 is a single-channel 12-bit voltage output DAC with a buffered output, an I2C serial interface and nonvolatile EEPROM that can store the DAC register and configuration bits. It can use VDD or an external VREF pin as its reference, which makes it useful for setting bias voltages, trimming and simple control loops with microcontrollers.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect the MCP4726 to a microcontroller?
Connect SDA and SCL to the microcontroller's I2C pins with pull-up resistors, power the device from VDD within its 2.7 V to 5.5 V range, and select VDD or VREF as the reference in the configuration.
Does the output value stay after power-off?
Yes. When the value is written to EEPROM, the DAC register and configuration bits are stored in nonvolatile memory and restored at power-up.
