About this product
The MAX232 from Maxim Integrated converts RS-232 voltage levels to TTL/CMOS logic levels and back, so a microcontroller can communicate with a PC serial port or other RS-232 device. It runs from a single 5 V supply using an on-chip charge pump with four external capacitors. Supplied in a DIP-16 package for breadboard and PCB use.
