About this product
LP2954 is an adjustable low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator in an 8-pin SOIC package, guaranteed to deliver 250 mA. Its very low quiescent current, about 90 µA at 1 mA load, suits battery-powered equipment that spends long periods in standby. The output can be set from 1.23 V to 29 V using the resistor network described in the datasheet.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the output voltage?
The adjustable version sets the output from 1.23V to 29V using a resistor network based on its 1.23V reference. Follow the pin-strapping configuration in the datasheet for the exact wiring of the feedback resistors.
How much input headroom do I need?
Dropout is 60 mV at light loads and 470 mV at 250 mA, so the input must exceed the output by at least that amount at your expected current. For example, a 3.3V output at full 250 mA needs an input above about 3.77V.
