About this product
The IR2103 is a half-bridge gate driver IC that drives one high-side and one low-side N-channel MOSFET or IGBT. Its floating high-side channel works with a bootstrap circuit and is rated up to 600 V, making it common in motor drivers, class-D stages and inverter bridges. It includes undervoltage lockout and internal dead time.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a bootstrap diode and capacitor?
Yes. The high-side channel is normally powered through a bootstrap diode and capacitor between VCC and VB. Follow the application circuit in the datasheet.
How are the logic inputs used?
HIN controls the high-side output and LIN controls the low-side output. The IC accepts 3.3 V, 5 V and 15 V logic. Verify the output polarity against the datasheet truth table for your design.
