About this product
IR2102S is a high-speed gate driver IC from Infineon (formerly International Rectifier) that drives a high-side and a low-side power MOSFET or IGBT in half-bridge circuits. It is commonly used in motor drivers, inverters and switch-mode power supplies to convert logic-level control signals into fast switching for power devices.

Frequently asked questions
How is the high-side MOSFET powered in a typical circuit?
Its high-side output usually uses a bootstrap circuit, consisting of a bootstrap diode and capacitor, to generate the floating supply for the high-side gate. Follow the bootstrap wiring shown in the datasheet.
What supply voltage does it need?
The supply voltage (VCC) is specified from 10 V to 20 V. Keep the supply within this range and make sure the gate drive voltage suits the power device you are using.
