Frequently asked questions
Does it need an external bootstrap diode?
No. The on-chip diode replaces the discrete diode normally required. You still need an external bootstrap capacitor to supply the high-side driver.
How is dead time set with this driver?
The high-side and low-side drivers are controlled independently, so dead time is set by the timing of the input signals from your controller. This gives flexibility in choosing dead time and driver protocol.
