About this product

The GY-521 is a breakout board built around the InvenSense MPU-6050 motion tracking chip, which combines a 3-axis MEMS gyroscope and a 3-axis MEMS accelerometer. It also includes a temperature sensor and a Digital Motion Processor, and communicates over I2C. It is widely used in robotics, balancing projects and motion-sensing builds.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of GY-521 MPU-6050 6-Axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer Module (I2C) in Egypt?

GY-521 MPU-6050 6-Axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer Module (I2C) currently costs between 110 and 145 EGP across 2 offers in Egypt.

Where can I buy GY-521 MPU-6050 6-Axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer Module (I2C) in Egypt?

GY-521 MPU-6050 6-Axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer Module (I2C) is available from ElectroHub and Ekostra. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I wire the GY-521 to an Arduino?

Connect VCC to 5 V or 3.3 V, GND to GND, SDA to A4 and SCL to A5 on an Arduino Uno. The INT pin is optional and is only needed for interrupt-driven reading. Libraries such as the Arduino MPU6050 library can read the accelerometer and gyroscope data over I2C.

How do I change the I2C address of the module?

The AD0 pin sets the lowest address bit. Leave AD0 low for address 0x68, or pull it high to 0x69. This is useful when two MPU-6050 modules must share the same I2C bus.
