Frequently asked questions
Which Arduino boards is it compatible with?
It is designed for Arduino UNO-style boards. It uses the SPI pins on the board header, so check the shield's pin markings and avoid sharing those pins with other shields or modules.
Do I need a library to use the CAN shield?
Yes. Use an MCP2515-compatible CAN library, which handles the controller's register setup and the sending and receiving of CAN frames over SPI.
