Frequently asked questions

Is it compatible with SSD1306 libraries?

The SH1106 is similar but has 132 columns of RAM for 128 visible pixels, so SSD1306 sketches can show a shifted or garbled image. Use a driver that supports SH1106, such as the U8g2 library, or adjust the column offset.

How do I wire it to an Arduino or ESP32?

Connect GND to ground, VCC to 3.3 V or 5 V, SCL to the I2C clock pin and SDA to the I2C data pin of your board. Many modules use address 0x3C, but check your module's label or scan the bus with an I2C scanner.
