About this product
USB to RS422 converter module that uses a CH340 USB-UART bridge and a SIT3490EESA RS422 transceiver for differential serial communication. It provides both a screw terminal block and an RJ45 connector, with TX/RX indicator LEDs. TVS diodes and PTC resettable fuses protect the RS422 lines against over-voltage, ESD and short circuits.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use it with RS485 devices?
Not directly in most cases. RS422 uses separate transmit and receive pairs, while RS485 shares a single pair on a multi-drop bus. Use this module for RS422 devices and a converter designed for RS485 for RS485 buses.
What is the jumper header for?
The jumper selects whether UART data is sent to the RS422 side or exposed on the debugging header, which helps when you need to check the serial signal directly.
