About this product
A stainless steel Type-K thermocouple probe with chromel and alumel wires, rated for 0 to 400 °C. It produces a small voltage proportional to the temperature difference between its measuring junction and the reference junction in the circuit. An amplifier or thermocouple interface IC is needed to convert that voltage to a temperature reading.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect it directly to an Arduino?
No. The thermocouple gives a very small voltage, so you need an amplifier or interface IC such as the MAX6675 or MAX31855. Both support Type-K and include cold junction compensation.
What is the maximum temperature?
The listed measuring range is 0 to 400 °C. Do not use it beyond that range.
