About this product
The TXS0108E is an 8-channel bidirectional logic level translator IC that converts signals between 3.3 V and 5 V logic levels with automatic direction sensing. It is used to interface 3.3 V devices such as Raspberry Pi GPIO with 5 V sensors, displays and other logic, without needing direction control pins.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wire it between a 3.3 V board and a 5 V device?
Connect the 3.3 V supply to VCCA and the 5 V supply to VCCB, connect both grounds together, and connect each signal line between the matching A and B channels.
Can I use it for I2C buses?
Auto-direction translators like the TXS0108E are designed for push-pull signals. For I2C, which relies on open-drain lines and pull-up resistors, use a dedicated I2C level shifter instead.
