About this product
A breakout module built around the MAX485CSA transceiver that converts TTL-level serial signals from a microcontroller to RS-485 differential signals, and back. It connects Arduino, ESP32 or similar boards to RS-485 industrial devices such as sensors and meters over a half-duplex bus.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wire it to an Arduino?
Connect RO to the Arduino RX pin and DI to TX. Connect DE and RE together to a digital control pin, or leave them tied together if the module does this internally. Drive DE high to transmit and low to receive. Connect A and B to the RS-485 bus, plus VCC and GND.
Do I need termination for long cable runs?
For long runs, use twisted-pair cable and add a 120 Ω termination resistor at each end of the A–B bus. This reduces reflections and improves signal integrity at higher baud rates.
