About this product
The TSOP382 is an infrared receiver module from Vishay with a built-in demodulator for 38 kHz modulated signals. It is used to receive remote control codes and short-range infrared communication, with a reception range of about 10 meters. Its digital output connects directly to a microcontroller input.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wire the TSOP382?
The module has three pins: OUT, GND and VS (supply). Connect VS to 3.3 V or 5 V, GND to ground, and OUT to a digital input. Check the pin order printed on your module, as pinouts vary between breakouts.
Which emitter works with the TSOP382?
It works with any 38 kHz modulated IR source, including the 38 kHz infrared emitter module in this range and most standard 38 kHz remote controls. Decoding the actual button codes requires a protocol-decoding library in your microcontroller code.
