About this product

A 433 MHz ASK/OOK transmitter and receiver module pair built around the SYN115 transmitter and SYN480R receiver chips. It is designed for simple wireless links such as remote power switches, fan controllers, remote sensor data and multimedia remotes. It sends raw digital data with no built-in addressing or encryption, so the protocol is handled in your code.

Can I power the transmitter from a 5V Arduino pin?

Not directly. The transmitter supply is 1.8 to 3.6 V, so power it from a 3.3 V source, and use a level shifter or voltage divider on its data input if the MCU runs at 5 V. The receiver accepts 3.3 to 5.5 V and can run from 5 V.

What antenna should I use?

A simple straight wire of about 17.3 cm, which is a quarter wavelength at 433 MHz, is a common starting point for both the transmitter and the receiver.
