Does the TP4056E protect the battery from over-discharge?
No. The TP4056E is a charger only and does not protect the cell from over-discharge or short circuits. Use a protection circuit such as the FS8205S with a DW01A-type controller, or a cell with built-in protection.
How is the charge current set?
