About this product
The SN74HC76 is a 74HC-series CMOS integrated circuit containing two J-K flip-flops, each with independent preset and clear inputs. It is used in digital logic projects for storing bits, building counters, frequency dividers and simple state machines, and is a common choice for students learning sequential logic.

Frequently asked questions
Are the PRESET and CLEAR inputs active-high or active-low?
On the 74HC76 they are active-low. Pulling PRE low sets Q high and pulling CLR low resets Q low, both asynchronously, independent of the clock.
Can I run it from a 3.3 V or 5 V supply?
Yes, the supply range is 2 V to 6 V, so both 3.3 V and 5 V work. Unused inputs should be tied to a defined logic level rather than left floating.
