Frequently asked questions
How do I wire it to an Arduino?
The S connector carries GND, VCC and Signal. Connect Signal to a PWM-capable pin, and connect the servo ground to the controller ground. Power VCC from a supply within 4.8-7.2 V rather than the Arduino 5V pin.
Does it need a separate power supply?
Yes for most builds. At high torque the servo can draw a large current when stalled, which the Arduino 5V pin cannot safely supply. Use a dedicated supply rated for the peak current and share ground with the controller.
