Frequently asked questions
What is the price of SN75176BP Differential Bus Transceiver RS-485/RS-422 DIP-8 in Egypt?
SN75176BP Differential Bus Transceiver RS-485/RS-422 DIP-8 currently costs between 20 and 28 EGP across 2 offers in Egypt.
Where can I buy SN75176BP Differential Bus Transceiver RS-485/RS-422 DIP-8 in Egypt?
SN75176BP Differential Bus Transceiver RS-485/RS-422 DIP-8 is available from Makers Electronics and RAM Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.
How do I connect it to a microcontroller?
Connect R (pin 1) to the MCU UART RX and D (pin 4) to the UART TX. Tie DE (pin 3) and /RE (pin 2) together to control direction: high to transmit, low to receive. A (pin 6) and B (pin 7) go to the differential bus, GND to pin 5 and VCC to pin 8. If your MCU runs at 3.3 V, check the receiver output level, since VCC is 5 V.
Do I need termination resistors on the bus?
For long cables or higher data rates, standard RS-485 practice is to place a 120 Ω termination resistor at each end of the bus.
