About this product
The SN74LS245 is an octal bus transceiver from the 74LS TTL family, used to move 8-bit data between two buses in a selected direction. A DIR pin sets the transfer direction and an active-low enable pin places the outputs in a high-impedance state. It is used in microcontroller and digital bus interfacing circuits.

Frequently asked questions
How does the DIR pin control data direction?
DIR selects the transfer direction between the A and B buses. In the standard 245 truth table, a high DIR transfers data from A to B and a low DIR transfers from B to A.
How is this different from the SN74HC245?
The LS version is a TTL device for 5 V supplies, while the HC version is CMOS with a wider 2 V to 6 V supply range and different input thresholds. Check your logic levels before substituting one for the other.
