About this product
RAMPS 1.6 is an open-source control shield that plugs onto an Arduino Mega 2560 to run RepRap-style 3D printers, including Mendel and Prusa designs. It provides sockets for stepper drivers, outputs for a heated bed and hotend heater, and thermistor inputs. It is a common control board for RepRap builds running Marlin firmware.

Frequently asked questions
Does RAMPS work on an Arduino Uno?
No. RAMPS is designed to sit on an Arduino Mega 2560 and uses its extra pins. It will not work on an Uno.
Are the stepper drivers installed separately?
Stepper drivers such as A4988 or DRV8825 plug into the sockets separately. Insert them in the correct orientation and set each driver's current before connecting the motors.
