About this product

A raindrop and water detection sensor module that detects rain, water leaks or water level using exposed parallel traces. It provides an analog output (AO) that varies with moisture and a digital output (DO) that indicates whether water is detected. It is used in rain alarms, leak detection and simple water level projects with Arduino or similar boards.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of Raindrop Water Detection Sensor Module (AO/DO) in Egypt?

Raindrop Water Detection Sensor Module (AO/DO) currently costs between 50 and 80 EGP across 7 offers in Egypt.

Where can I buy Raindrop Water Detection Sensor Module (AO/DO) in Egypt?

Raindrop Water Detection Sensor Module (AO/DO) is available from Makers Electronics, Microohm, RAM Electronics, UGE, Most Electronics, Circuits Electronics, and Ekostra. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I connect the raindrop sensor to an Arduino?

Connect VCC to 5V (or 3.3V), GND to GND, AO to an analog input for graded readings and DO to a digital pin for a simple wet/dry output. The analog output can be read directly with analogRead().

Why do the sensor readings degrade over time?

The exposed traces corrode when a constant DC voltage is applied to them in wet conditions. Power the sensor only while taking readings, for example through a digital pin, to extend its life.
