How do I get a distance reading?
Send a pulse of about 10 µs on Trig, then measure the duration of the high pulse on Echo. Dividing the echo time in microseconds by 58 gives the distance in centimeters, since sound travels roughly 343 m/s and the pulse covers the distance twice.
