About this product
OBD-II to CAN bus shield that plugs onto a 30-pin ESP32 development board, letting it communicate with a vehicle's CAN network through a standard 16-pin OBD-II connector. It includes a 65HVD230 CAN transceiver, NUP2105 ESD protection and a built-in 12V to 5V DC-DC converter, plus battery voltage sensing and two programmable LEDs. It works with SavvyCAN and ESP32RET firmware.

Frequently asked questions
Which ESP32 board does this shield fit?
It is designed for the 30-pin ESP32 development board, as its title states. Do not use it with a 38-pin board unless the pin layout matches.
Which pins does the shield use?
The shield uses GPIO32 for battery voltage sensing and GPIO26 and GPIO27 for the programmable LEDs, so avoid using these pins for other functions. Only connect to a vehicle's OBD-II port with awareness that CAN traffic can affect vehicle systems.
