About this product
Microchip MCP4921 is a single-channel 12-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter with an SPI interface. It turns digital codes from a microcontroller into an analog voltage, and is used for set-point control, offset adjustment and sensor calibration. This version uses the SOP-8 surface-mount package.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect it to an Arduino?
Connect the SPI signals (SCK, SDI/MOSI and CS), power, ground, VREF and LDAC as shown in the datasheet pinout. Use the Arduino SPI library to send 16-bit words.
How is the output voltage determined?
The output is set by the VREF input voltage and the 12-bit code, so the output range is referenced to VREF. Check the datasheet for the exact transfer function.
