About this product
A breakout module for the MCP23017 16-bit I/O expander, which adds 16 general-purpose inputs or outputs over the I2C bus. It is useful when a microcontroller needs more digital pins for buttons, LEDs or relays, using only the SDA and SCL signal lines.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect it to an Arduino?
Connect VCC, GND, SDA and SCL. On an Arduino Uno, SDA is A4 and SCL is A5.
How is the I2C address set?
The A0, A1 and A2 pins select the address between 0x20 and 0x27. With all three low, the address is 0x20. Check whether the breakout has pull-up resistors on SDA and SCL, and add them if it does not.
