About this product
A module based on the MAX98357 chip that accepts digital audio over I2S, converts it to analog and amplifies it to drive a speaker directly. It is suited to Raspberry Pi audio projects. The stereo signal is mixed (L+R) by default, and a resistor can be used to output only the left or right channel.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wire it to a Raspberry Pi?
Connect the I2S clock (BCLK), word select (LRCLK) and data (DIN) lines, plus 5 V or 3.3 V power within the 2.7 to 5.5 V range and GND, then connect a speaker to the output terminals. Confirm the pin labels on your module before wiring.
Which speaker should I use?
The rated output power is measured with a 4 Ω speaker at a 5 V supply, so a 4 Ω speaker matches the listed performance. Use a speaker that can handle the output power.
