About this product
A breakout board built around the MAX31855 chip that reads K-type thermocouple probes and outputs the temperature as a digital value over SPI. It suits projects that need high-temperature measurement, such as ovens, kilns and heating control systems. The chip also reports its own internal temperature for cold-junction compensation.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use any K-type thermocouple probe with this board?
Yes, the listing states it works with any K-type thermocouple. Connect the probe wires to the thermocouple input terminals (T+ and T-) on the board.
How do I wire it to an Arduino or ESP32?
Connect VCC and GND to the 3.3V or 5V and GND pins, then connect SCK, CS and SO (MISO) to the controller's SPI pins. The MAX31855 is read-only, so the controller only receives data.
