About this product
The MAX30102 module combines red and infrared LEDs with a photodetector to measure heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) from a fingertip using reflective photoplethysmography. It communicates over I2C and is used in wearable, health monitoring and biometric prototyping projects.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect it to an Arduino or ESP32?
Connect SDA and SCL to the controller's I2C pins, share ground and power the module within its marked voltage. Check the module's voltage markings, since the ESP32 uses 3.3V logic. Use a MAX30102 library to read the data.
Are the readings medical grade?
No. Hobby modules are meant for learning and experiments, not medical diagnosis. Readings need a steady finger and filtering algorithms to be meaningful.
