About this product

The L7906CV is a fixed negative voltage regulator from the L79xx series that provides a stable -6 V output. It is used in dual-supply circuits, op-amp boards and analog systems that need a negative rail. It has thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection and is supplied in a TO-220 package for through-hole mounting.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of L7906CV Negative Voltage Regulator -6V 1.5A TO-220 in Egypt?

L7906CV Negative Voltage Regulator -6V 1.5A TO-220 currently costs 7 EGP in Egypt.

Where can I buy L7906CV Negative Voltage Regulator -6V 1.5A TO-220 in Egypt?

L7906CV Negative Voltage Regulator -6V 1.5A TO-220 is available from Makers Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I wire the L7906CV to get a -6 V rail?

Connect the unregulated negative supply, between -8 V and -35 V, to the input pin, connect the common pin to ground, and take the regulated -6 V from the output pin. On the TO-220 package, pin 1 is GND (common), pin 2 is input and pin 3 is output.

Does the L7906CV need a heatsink?

At low currents a heatsink may not be needed, but at higher currents or with a large voltage difference between input and output, the regulator dissipates significant heat and needs a heatsink. The built-in thermal shutdown protects the device if it overheats.
