Frequently asked questions

What is the price of L7809 Positive Voltage Regulator 9V 1A TO-220 in Egypt?

L7809 Positive Voltage Regulator 9V 1A TO-220 currently costs between 7 and 11 EGP across 7 offers in Egypt.

Where can I buy L7809 Positive Voltage Regulator 9V 1A TO-220 in Egypt?

L7809 Positive Voltage Regulator 9V 1A TO-220 is available from Circuits Electronics, Microohm, Most Electronics, RAM Electronics, Ekostra, Future Electronics, and UGE. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I wire the L7809 pins?

With the printed side facing you and the pins pointing down, pin 1 is the input, pin 2 is ground and pin 3 is the 9 V output. The datasheet recommends a ceramic capacitor of about 0.33 µF on the input and about 0.1 µF on the output, placed close to the regulator.

Can I power the L7809 from a 12 V supply?

Yes. The input must stay above the 9 V output by the regulator's dropout margin, and 12 V is within the 35 V maximum input rating. The voltage difference is dissipated as heat, so use a heatsink when the load current or voltage difference is high.
