About this product
Compact digital insulation resistance and continuity tester for checking the insulation of cables and equipment and the continuity of low-resistance paths. It provides 500 V and 1000 V test voltages, insulation measurement up to 200 MΩ and continuity measurement up to 200 Ω, and runs on eight R6P (AA) batteries.

How do I check a cable's insulation?
Disconnect the cable from power and from all equipment first. Then measure between the conductor and the other conductors or ground, following the test procedure in the manual.
Can it check whether a wire is continuous?
Yes, the continuity range goes up to 200 Ω with an audible-style check listed in the specs. Use it on de-energised circuits only.
