About this product

The IRF530N is an N-channel power MOSFET in a TO-220 package, rated for 100 V drain-source and about 17 A continuous current. It is used as a switch for motors, relays, lamps and LED loads in power-control and DIY circuits. It is not a logic-level device, so it needs an adequate gate drive voltage.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of IRF530N N-Channel Power MOSFET 100V TO-220 in Egypt?

IRF530N N-Channel Power MOSFET 100V TO-220 currently costs between 13.99 and 35 EGP across 4 offers in Egypt.

Where can I buy IRF530N N-Channel Power MOSFET 100V TO-220 in Egypt?

IRF530N N-Channel Power MOSFET 100V TO-220 is available from Most Electronics, RAM Electronics, Ekostra, and Future Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

Can I drive the IRF530N directly from a 5V Arduino or 3.3V ESP32 pin?

Not reliably. Its threshold is 2 to 4 V and full-on performance needs about 10 V on the gate, so a 3.3 V or 5 V GPIO will leave it partly on and overheating. Use a logic-level MOSFET or a gate driver stage instead.

What is the basic wiring for switching a load?

For a low-side switch, connect the load between the positive supply and the drain, the source to ground, and the MCU pin to the gate through a resistor of about 100 Ω. Add a 10 kΩ pull-down from gate to source so the MOSFET stays off at boot. Add a flyback diode across inductive loads such as motors or relays.
