Frequently asked questions
How do I wire the CNY70 sensor?
Connect the IR emitter to the supply through a series resistor to limit current. For the phototransistor, connect the emitter to ground and the collector to the supply through a pull-up resistor, then read the collector voltage.
Can the CNY70 output be read by an Arduino?
Yes. The collector voltage can be read on a digital or analog input. Choose the pull-up and emitter resistor values to suit your supply voltage and the logic level of your board.
