How do I wire a 16x2 LCD in parallel mode to an Arduino?
Connect VSS to GND and VDD to 5 V. Connect V0 to the wiper of a potentiometer for contrast, and RW to GND for write-only use. Connect RS, E and D4 to D7 to Arduino digital pins.
The LCD backlight is on but no text appears. What should I check?
Adjust the contrast on V0 with the potentiometer, as incorrect contrast is the most common cause. Also check that VDD, VSS and the data pins are wired correctly.
