About this product
BT151-600R is a 600V, 12A silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) thyristor in a TO-220 package. It switches on when a gate trigger pulse is applied and remains conducting until the current falls below its holding level. It is used in motor control, power switching and overvoltage protection circuits.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of BT151-600R Thyristor SCR 600V 12A TO-220 in Egypt?
BT151-600R Thyristor SCR 600V 12A TO-220 currently costs between 10 and 20 EGP across 2 offers in Egypt.
Where can I buy BT151-600R Thyristor SCR 600V 12A TO-220 in Egypt?
BT151-600R Thyristor SCR 600V 12A TO-220 is available from Makers Electronics and Microohm. Compare the offers above to find the best price.
Can this thyristor switch AC loads directly?
An SCR conducts in one direction only, so on AC it gives half-wave control. For full-wave control of AC loads, a TRIAC or two SCRs connected in anti-parallel is normally used. Mains voltage must be handled only with proper isolation and safety precautions.
How do I trigger the gate correctly?
Apply a positive gate pulse with respect to the cathode through a series resistor from the microcontroller or a driver. Keep the gate current within the datasheet limits, and make sure the load current stays above the holding current, otherwise the device turns off.
