Frequently asked questions

What is the price of ATmega8A-PU 8-bit AVR MCU 8KB Flash DIP-28 in Egypt?

ATmega8A-PU 8-bit AVR MCU 8KB Flash DIP-28 currently costs 160 EGP in Egypt.

Where can I buy ATmega8A-PU 8-bit AVR MCU 8KB Flash DIP-28 in Egypt?

ATmega8A-PU 8-bit AVR MCU 8KB Flash DIP-28 is available from Makers Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I program the ATmega8A?

It is programmed through ISP (SPI with MOSI, MISO, SCK and RESET) using an AVR programmer such as USBasp, or an Arduino loaded with the ArduinoISP sketch. Connect the 6-pin ISP header to the chip before programming.

Can it run at 16 MHz on a 3.3V supply?

Per the ATmega8A datasheet, the 16 MHz rating requires a supply of about 4.5V and above. At lower voltages the maximum clock is reduced, so use a lower clock or a 4.5V-plus supply for full speed.
