About this product
The AMG8833 is an infrared sensor array from Panasonic with 64 thermal pixels arranged in an 8x8 grid, each reporting a temperature reading. It communicates over I2C and has a configurable interrupt pin that triggers when any pixel crosses a set threshold. It is used in thermal imaging projects, human presence detection and heat-map experiments with microcontrollers.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect it to an Arduino?
Yes, through the I2C pins (SDA and SCL). Check the logic voltage of your module and match it to your board before wiring.
Does it produce a photo?
No. It does not capture visible light. It outputs temperature readings for 64 pixels, which you can display as a heat map on a screen or PC.
