About this product
SMD AC power switch from the ACST2 family, built on a triac structure with an integrated high-voltage clamp. It drives loads up to 2 A and needs a low gate current, below 10 mA, to turn on. Suited to home appliances and industrial systems, with high noise immunity to IEC 61000-4-4 and IEC 61000-4-5 transients.

Frequently asked questions
How do I drive it from a microcontroller?
Feed the gate from an MCU output through a current-limiting resistor. For mains loads, use an optocoupler or isolated driver so the microcontroller stays isolated from line voltage.
Can it switch inductive loads such as fans or motors?
The built-in clamp absorbs the energy released when an inductive load turns off, but keep the load current under 2 A and check the datasheet's commutation limits before using it with motors.
