Frequently asked questions
Does this motor need a special driver?
Yes, it is a bipolar two-phase stepper and needs a stepper motor driver, such as a TB6600 or DRV8825-class driver, set to the 2.8 A rated current or below. Driving it directly from a microcontroller pin will not work.
How do I wire the four leads?
The four leads form two coils, A+ with A- and B+ with B-. Identify each coil with a multimeter by measuring resistance between pairs of wires, then connect each coil to the matching driver output. Swapping the leads of one coil reverses the direction of rotation.
