Frequently asked questions
Is this board for LiFePO4 or standard Li-ion cells?
The title mentions LiFePO4, but 12.6 V is the full-charge voltage of a 3S Li-ion pack (3 x 4.2 V). A 3S LiFePO4 pack is about 9.6 V nominal and charges to about 10.95 V (3 x 3.65 V). Confirm the cell chemistry and the board's voltage rating before connecting any cells.
How do I wire the cells to the board?
Connect the cells in series, then connect the pack's negative to B- and each balance lead to its labelled terminal (B1, B2, B3) in order. Follow the board's wiring diagram and double-check polarity before connecting the load.
