Can I use WD-40 on a PCB?
It can be used for light cleaning, but it leaves an oily residue. Clean the board afterwards with isopropyl alcohol before soldering or applying conformal coating.
Is it suitable for electrical contacts and switches?
It can displace moisture and loosen grime, but it is not a dedicated electrical contact cleaner and may leave a film. For switches, potentiometers and connectors, use a contact cleaner designed for electronics.
