About this product
A module built around the WIZnet W5500 hardwired TCP/IP Ethernet controller, which integrates the TCP/IP stack, a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet MAC and PHY in one chip. It connects to a microcontroller over SPI, letting Arduino and other embedded projects reach the internet or a local network without implementing the protocol stack in software.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with Arduino?
Yes, through the SPI bus. Connect MOSI, MISO, SCK and a chip-select pin, plus reset if the module exposes it, and use a library that supports the W5500.
Does my code need to implement TCP/IP?
No. The W5500 handles the TCP/IP stack in hardware, so your code uses socket functions provided by the library instead of writing the protocol itself.
