About this product
The Voice Recognition Module is a compact, speaker-dependent board that recognizes up to 80 trained voice commands. Seven commands can be active at the same time, and results are returned to a microcontroller over a 5 V TTL UART. It suits voice-controlled projects with Arduino or other microcontrollers.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to train the module before use?
Yes. The module is speaker-dependent, so each voice command must be trained before it can be recognized. Commands are stored in the module's library, and you select up to seven of them to be active at the same time.
Can I connect it directly to a 3.3 V board?
Be careful. The UART signals are 5 V TTL, so use a level shifter or a voltage divider on the module's TX line when connecting to a 3.3 V microcontroller. The module's RX input should also be driven at a level it accepts.
