Frequently asked questions
How do I read a 0.02 mm vernier scale?
Read the main scale value just before the zero of the vernier scale, then find the vernier line that lines up exactly with a main scale line. Add that line's value, in 0.02 mm steps, to the main scale reading.
Is it suitable for electronics work?
Yes, for measuring PCB component leads, enclosure cutouts and small parts up to 150 mm. For tighter tolerances or faster readings, a digital caliper may be more convenient, but this manual model is sufficient for most hobby work.
